2019 Easter Egg Hunts and Celebrations in Southern California

Whether you're local to Southern California or visiting our Golden Coast for the first time, spring is a great time to experience local events and community! Take a look at some of our top local Easter egg hunts and spring celebrations and plan a fun day with family and friends!

Easter on the Queen Mary
Easter Sunday, April 21
When it comes to holidays, the Queen Mary pulls out all the stops. Easter is no exception! Kids will love the petting zoo, balloon animals, crafts, and bounce house. Egg hunts are held for ages up to 15, so everyone can fill their baskets with goodies!

But the star of the show at the Queen Mary's Easter Celebration is the award-winning Sunday Brunch, an all you can eat extravaganza with over 50 dishes from around the world. Tables are already booked up for much of the day, so reserve yours quickly!

Huntington Beach Easter Hunt and Family Fun Day
Saturday, April 20
Enjoy a pancake breakfast provided by the Kiwani's club of Huntington Beach, then enjoy a day of family fun, including game booths, a live band, thousands of pounds of candy, and of course pictures with the Easter Bunny! The whole family will have a great time and you'll earn a lot about local services, summer camps, and classes available in the community!

Irvine Park Railroad's Easter Eggstravaganza:
March 30-April 20 ( Irvine Park Railroad is closed on Easter Sunday)
This Easter Eggstravaganza is so much more than an egg hunt! Experience Irvine Park Railroad with hay rides, cookie decorating, carnival games, face painting and more with a festive twist for the spring season. The Easter Bunny will also be in attendance and available for family photos!

Make sure to exchange tickets for the egg hunt early, as egg hunt wristbands do sell out!

Easter Weekend at the Newport Dunes
April 20-21
Brunch, bunnies, and golden eggs - it's all at the Dunes Easter weekend! Saturday includes egg decorating, potato sack races, ice cream, bunny crafts, and finishes off with a movie on the beach. Then start Sunday early with a sunrise Easter service, and enjoy an Easter egg hunt and delectable Sunday brunch!

San Clemente Sensational Springtacular
Saturday April 20
You've experienced egg hunts, but have you ever participated in an underwater egg hunt? You can at the Springtacular at Vista Hermosa Sports Park in San Clemente! The Springtacular includes different hunt times for different age groups at both the field hunt and the underwater hunt.

Families can also enjoy a petting zoo, train rides, and more. And make sure to visit the Camp Palooza to get information about local summer camps! You can even get camp discounts!

Oceanside Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Magic Show
Saturday April 20
This annual event is a delight with the attendance not only of the Easter Bunny, but a magician too! Candy, prizes, and an Easter egg hunt round out this kid-friendly event!

EGGStravaganza Spring Festival in Carlsbad
Saturday April 20
Local parks and camps turn out to host demonstrations and activities at this community event. Decorate cookies, play in fun zones, and scramble to collect eggs in the competitive egg hunts! It's a day full of energy and excitement at Carlsbad's largest egg hunt! There is also a noncompetitive field available for kids with special needs or families wanting a leisurely photo-op!
